I grew up in a small village just outside Shanghai. My childhood is still a beautiful memory. Flowers, seeds, animals … all these beautiful parts of creation that I’ve experienced shaped my understanding of life. I bought my first camera in 2006. The first time that I started to take pictures, I was amazed. Somehow, I could begin to understand this poem from William Blake,
“To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour.“
Photography for me is a way to tell a story and evoke a feeling. For me the camera is a tool that helps me remember the fleeting moment and to create imagination whether real or fantasy. Adventure is part of my life. I have traveled all over the world with my camera, from China to the US, the Philippines, Trinidad and Tobago, Canada. I am a firm believer of the power of love, hope and faith. There is nothing more beautiful than love. There is nothing more interesting than chasing a beautiful dream. I love photography. Now I am currently living in St.Catharines and photographing architectures, families, engagements and weddings.
